Main Conference Venue

The main conference will take place at the Oecologicum building (J. Liivi 2, Tartu). The building is home to part of the Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences, where ecologists, botanists, zoologists, and mycologists conduct their research and teaching.

Oecologicum is conveniently located within comfortable walking distance of Tartu city centre, offering easy access to accommodation, restaurants, and cultural attractions.

Out-of-Town Day – 7 June (PhD School Participants)

On 7 June, the PhD School participants will attend an out-of-town day at the Ice Age Centre (Saadjärve 20, Äksi), located approximately 25 minutes from Tartu.

The Ice Age Centre is a unique visitor centre in the Baltic States, where you can see life-sized prehistoric animals and explore how the world and Estonian nature have developed through the ages.

Transportation to the Ice Age Centre will be provided for participants from both Tartu and Tallinn. More detailed information regarding transportation arrangements will be shared with participants closer to the event.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be held in the White Hall of the University of Tartu Museum (Lossi 25, Tartu), located in the historic cathedral on Toome Hill and showcasing the university’s rich research heritage.
